You can check out out documentation video for Twitter here, or by scrolling to the bottom of the page. There are 3 separate ways to pull in Twitter content to your event:
Auto Post: Just type in something to search for and we'll keep checking. Social Search: Manually search and pull-in tweets.
Search Queries: - Tweets from a specific Twitter user: from:username - You can find more helpful search tips here.
We have also added Filters, as a way to automatically filter out unwanted content and reduce the amount of noise coming in through your auto post selection.
[This feature is available as an add-on. Please ask your administrator for more information.]
Photo Url shorteners: When you publish a tweet containing a photo URL, ScribbleLive publishes the photo with the tweet as a caption. You can then edit the tweet or photo. The photo URLs we currently support are: twitpic yfrog t.co lockerz twitgoo mobypicture.com/moby.to instagr.am flic.kr imageshack.us Why aren't tweets being pulled into my liveblog?
If you are trying to follow a Twitter account or using our Twitter auto-posting, and the tweets you make aren't getting pulled in, please check these 2 things:
If neither of those is the case, please open a support ticket with the URL of your liveblog, and the Twitter account name that isn't working (e.g. @scribblelive), and we'd be happy to look into it further. Thanks! What's wrong with Twitter?Like any other application, our Twitter integration relies heavily on Twitter's API being up-and-running smoothly. Some of the problems you may encounter are the inability to login using your Twitter account to create a new event. Luckily we have several other options like Facebook, MSN, Open ID or Flickr. Hopefully, like most of us, you have one of these other options. You may also find that accounts or hashtags you have chosen to follow, or keywords you are searching for in your live blog are not showing up in a timely manner or not at all. This can be due to Twitter being unresponsive or down. We try our best to minimize all of these issues but if you continue to encounter problems please check http://status.twitter.com to see if any Twitter issues have been reported. And as always, please feel free to open a support ticket. Update Twitter Avatars Sometimes Tweets may be pulled in showing an old avatar for that Twitter user. To update the Twitter avatar to the newest version follow these steps: 1. If using Social Search, approve the tweet. If using auto-post or follow the tweet will already be approved. 2. In the main live blog area click on the username. 3. Select 'update avatar' form the drop down that appears. |
